ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 30, 2014 -- United States Patent no. 8,846,969 issued on Sept. 30, 2014, was assigned to Rainbow Photonics AG (Zurich).

"Phenolic Configurationally Locked Polyene Bulk Single Crystals, Crystalline Thin Films and Waveguides for Electro-Optics and THz-Wave Applications" was invented by Peter Gunter (Riedt-Neerach, Switzerland), Mojca Jazbinsek (Dubendorf, Switzerland), O-Pil Kwon (Suwon, South Korea), Seong-Ji Kwon (Zurich), Christoph Hunziker (Mellingen, Switzerland) and Harry Figi (Zurich).
